The ultimate goal for most is to live life with as few restrictions as possible, and to get more out of the things you love to do.
As a weight loss coach I find most people have the wisdom to know what habits they need to change. With my help providing guidance, structure and accountability you will make and own the critical decisions. I help increase your discipline to make the changes you need to make.
“If you are serious about making changes to your life but are not sure where to turn, I would highly recommend John. His knowledge of exercise and nutrition is outstanding. YONIT ROTH – PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
- NASM – CPT – CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER
- NASM – WFS – WOMEN’S FITNESS SPECIALIST
- CHEK INSTITUTE – INTEGRATIVE MOVEMENT SCIENCE LEVEL 1
- CROSSFIT – LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION: FUNDAMENTALS
Yonit’s Coaching Philosophy
I would characterize my coaching style as functionally driven, emphasizing proper posture, strength building, and enhanced mobility. To keep my clients inspired, I like to engage them by asking about their motivations, passions, and how to relate their gym activities to their lives outside of fitness, making it feel relevant and exciting. My fitness philosophy centers on the positive effects of exercise on longevity: what we do today can enable us to age gracefully and lead more fulfilling lives. Additionally, I believe in discovering ways to move our bodies that bring us joy. When we love what we do, we’re more likely to continue. It’s crucial to foster a positive relationship with fitness and exercise.
I stay current with fitness research by enrolling in various courses, reading books, watching videos, conducting my own online research, and following other skilled trainers in areas that intrigue me.
On a personal note, I genuinely enjoy educating individuals about the importance of fitness and how to leverage it for their personal goals. I also find fulfillment in helping experienced clients elevate their journeys. In college, I studied psychology and religion, driven by a passion for understanding the mind’s workings. I later added religious studies to my curriculum to have the opportunity to study abroad in India, which may not directly apply to client work—unless, of course, their religion is fitness!

Andrew’s Coaching Philosophy
As Fitness Director and Personal Trainer at Body Kinetics, I am passionate about helping people build strength, move better, and improve their overall quality of life. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with specializations in Corrective Exercise, Senior Fitness, and Group Personal Training.
My journey into fitness began as a competitive baseball player, where strength and conditioning were essential to improving performance. Over time, I discovered that I enjoyed training and helping others reach their goals just as much as competing. Inspired by my parents—my father, a teacher, and my mother, an oncology nurse—I pursued a career focused on helping people live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I believe that everyone can benefit from having a coach and a personalized approach to fitness. Whether your goal is improved athletic performance, greater independence, reduced pain, or simply feeling stronger in everyday life, I design programs that create lasting results and support long-term health. Strength training is the foundation that allows people to do more of what they love, both inside and outside the gym.
Since joining Body Kinetics in 2021, I have enjoyed working with clients of all ages and fitness levels, helping them build confidence, improve movement, and achieve their personal goals.
Outside of the gym, I enjoy following sports and spending time watching the Giants and Raiders. While strength training remains my greatest passion, I am currently looking forward to taking on new challenges and preparing for my first HYROX competition.

My Coaching Style:
I strive to create a comfortable and confident atmosphere for my clients in the gym. The more they grasp their workouts, the more successful their results become. Everyone has their unique reasons for wanting to get fit, and by pinpointing that “why,” we can revisit it whenever motivation wavers. Fitness should enhance how you feel and navigate daily life. My aim is to empower clients to engage in the activities they love for as long as possible. At 62, I have a deep understanding of the aging body, which informs my approach when working with older clients.
I hold a B.A. in Broadcast Communication Arts (1985) and, after 35 years in that industry, I transitioned to personal training to help individuals move and feel better in their everyday lives. I rely on reputable, science-based resources and continue my education through NASM, where I maintain my certification.
